What do you think is the best way for me to get recognized for my art/start getting sales? I’ve been painting for a long time and want to start selling.
Listen to free Art Storefronts podcasts while you paint. They tell you about marketing, which artists never learned in school. If they had learned it would be out of date by now. You know they are telling like it is, as they say “it is hard marketing work, for the first 4 years!”
I have been painting and not trying to sell, like you, and when I heard that I said well I will just keep painting and not WASTE time trying to sell. I like to show in libraries, etc… that is fun.
