I did an oil painting on a Da Vinci brand gessoed panel from Jerry’s and as I was getting ready to varnish it, I noticed about a 3-inch long scratch in the painted surface. It’s not very deep but noticeable so I’m wondering what the best way to fix it might be. I thought about spreading a thin layer of Gamblin Ground over it with a palette knife to fill the scratch and then painting over it when it dries. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
