I often see original works in coffee shops, hospitals, etc. I welcome any advice on how to approach these public venues when seeking (free) exhibition opportunities. Advice: how it would benefit the venue; etc.
Bev, I would just ask for the manager of a coffee shop or restaurant. And I’d stop at the information desk in a hospital, hotel, etc., and ask who is responsible for making decisions about art. Most people are helpful, so if they don’t know the answer, they’ll ask someone else who may know.
