Use this category to discuss gouache painting materials.
I started painting with regular watercolors but recently started venturing into gouache. I keep a palette of both on my painting table and use them together, often with a little watercolor pencil to start or finish. Why is gouache the least used medium on dailypaintworks? It seems to be very unpopular but I love the opacity as well as transparent qualities I can achieve with it, and that I don’t need to use solvents. Just wondering why gouache appears to be the least popular choice?
