The beautiful moods light and color can create spoke to my heart when I was in the woods as an 11 yr old boy scout. I thought "if I only could paint that" and with the next breath I rejected the idea in the sense of "oh no, you can´t do that...".
25 years later I began to paint with oils - after many years of pencil drawing - and since 2004 I paint mainly outdoors. I like the challenges that come along with plein air painting, the scene with its beautiful colors, the fast changing light, the weather, the continuous fast decisions that have to be made on the spot, no time to think long, but to respond emotionally ... becoming one with paint, brush and the scene ...
